Delivery, Setup & Strike

Boston Audio Visual Rental will travel to your event to provide our services and equipment. Based on your requirements, we can deliver, setup, demonstrate, strike (breakdown equipment) and pickup your rental equipment.

DELIVERY ONLY - Delivery Fee is based on mileage (one way) applied per mile from our office location. Mileage is computed based on "GoogleMaps" directions, route is selected based on anticipated traffic conditions on the day of week/time delivery is required. Equipment is tested prior to leaving warehouse; client is responsible for setup and strike of equipment. An equipment deposit in accordance with our current "Rental Agreement Terms And Conditions" is required. Note that a wait time fee may be applied if the delivery person has to wait for the designated person responsible for accepting the equipment is not at the event location at the time specified per the contract agreement.

PICKUP - Pickup Fee is based on mileage (one way) applied per mile from our office location. Mileage is computed based on "GoogleMaps" directions, route is selected based on anticipated traffic conditions on the day of week/time delivery is required. Equipment inventory is made upon pickup, however, final inspection and testing of equipment is performed when equipment arrives back at warehouse. If not pre-arranged, a Strike Fee may be charged if equipment is not packaged and ready for pickup at time specified in the contract agreement.

CUSTOMER PICKUP - Are you tech savvy? We allow our basic equipment to be picked up and rented from our warehouse. We will go over all the equipment and demonstrate its setup and use. There is no charge for this service however; an equipment deposit in accordance with our "Rental Agreement Terms And Conditions" is required.

STANDARD SETUP & STRIKE - Our standard setup fee also includes strike (equipment breakdown and packing) and is based on a flat rate. This fee includes our most popular equipment rentals like projectors, tripod screens, PA rental, etc. Our technician will also provide instruction to a designated person that will be operating the equipment. The technician will arrive at the conclusion of the event to breakdown and pick up the equipment. If our technician does not remain on site (client requested technician or wait time), an equipment deposit in accordance with our "Rental Agreement Terms And Conditions" is required.

PREMIUM SETUP - More complicated setups or setups requiring more than a single technician are charged based on the hourly rate per person. Examples include large sound systems, multiple room setups, fast-fold screens, etc. If our technician does not remain on site (client requested technician or wait time), an equipment deposit in accordance with our "Rental Agreement Terms And Conditions" is required.

WAIT TIME – Based on how far the event is from the warehouse and how long the event is, it may be more economical to have the delivery person or setup/strike technician remain at the event rather than make two round trips. This is an hourly fee per person. This fee may also be charged in addition to the Strike Fee for delivery person if he/she is required to wait for equipment if it is not ready at time specified in the contract agreement. This fee may also be charged in addition to the delivery fee if delivery person is required to wait for customer to accept and sign for equipment.

STRIKE - An equipment breakdown and packing or "strike" fee may be imposed if equipment is not packaged and ready for pickup at time specified in the contract agreement.
